EN is an artist, illustrator/designer, currently focused on independent product design and development. He is based in Guangzhou. Born on October 2, 1968, in Osaka, with blood type AB, he is an illustrator. In 1993, he was responsible for the character illustrations of the fighting game Power Instinct. Since 1994, he has created illustrations for magazines such as Kairakuten and Ultra Jump and participated in character design for Power Instinct 2 and GROOVE ON FIGHT. In 1996, he resigned and became a freelance illustrator, publishing his first artbook LIKE A BALANCE LIFE. In 1999, he planned and edited the full-color comic magazine FLAT, which won the Chairman’s Award of the Japan Book Publishers Association at the 34th Book Design Competition. From 2001, he began working on illustration-to-figure projects, held the exhibition fa RANGE MURATA collection 001 in 2003, and released his second artbook futurhythm, winning further recognition. In 2006, he won the 37th Seiun Award (Art Category). Since 2013, he has been teaching at the Faculty of Manga at Kyoto Seika University and has published doujinshi at events such as Comic Market under the circle name PASTA'S ESTAB.

In 2015, his work GTA5xDoraemon was featured on HYPEBEAST and various other pop culture platforms, becoming a trending topic.

In 2016, he contributed to the publication of the comic SEEKERS.

In 2017, he collaborated with YOHO magazine on the illustration THE ART OF FASHION.

In 2018, he created illustrations for ROARINGWILD's 8th-anniversary collection Street Fighter—Roaring Beast and the album cover Cosmic Bass for Ming Tang Records.

In 2023, he worked on cover art for the animation produced by Tencent & Bandai Namco, officially establishing his own independent studio.

In 2024, he participated in the production of musician ODD Chen Sijian's CD album design and visual concept, was invited to the SSS Re\arise exhibition series, and contributed to a Remix project with artist NAJI Yagita. He also participated in the 1.0 opening of the Electronic Girl Project at the Beijing ARTPHILE®2024 Arts Festival.
